The photography of Jean Lamont

The challenge of photography is to bring your guest into a 3-dimensional experience by using a 2-dimensional medium...to draw their eye from the foreground through the image into the distance...to evoke a cherished memory of the past...to surprise them with a detail.

My attempts to take my guest on the journey through the image include the use of  light and shadow, color gradients, or repeated shapes within the resulting image.

I run around in the wilderness and take pictures of mountains, and rivers, and sunsets, and wildlife.  I never want to lose my sense of wonder at the majesty of creation...from expansive vistas to the most intricate element.
